Fantastic opportunity for a PR Account Executive looking to take the next step in their B2B PR career or a PR Account Manager looking to manage and develop their own team!

Our client offers a fast paced B2B PR environment with a fantastic training and development programme.

Working closely with the Client Services Director, the PR Account Manager will be responsible for a number of clients, developing proposals and PR plans according to client budgets and requirements, and identifying new business prospects while working closely with their team to ensure all objectives are met and delivered effectively for key clients.

As the PR Account Manager you will:

  • Developing PR proposals supporting client marketing and sales objectives.

  • Conducting regular client meetings to discuss ongoing activity delivery.

  • Driving the delivery of the PR campaigns/activities (including writing press releases, extended articles, advertisements etc).

  • Become an expert in your clients’ businesses, reading appropriate media; become familiar with their markets, business strategies, competitors and general industry news

  • Identifying new media opportunities for clients.

  • Attending client events where relevant including trade shows, product launches, conferences.

  • Contact with the media to secure PR opportunities, set up meetings with editors/journalists, secure participation at client events and generally build relationships with the media on behalf of the client
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to discuss progress regarding campaign activity, review work with the team, delegate requirements to the team as well as conducting annual appraisals.

  • Work to develop skill set of team members, encouraging and motivating to ensure personal development

The ideal PR Account Manager will have:

  • Three year’s PR or relevant experience

  • Experience of client pitch delivery

  • Be educated to degree level

  • Excellent proven communications skills – both written and verbal

  • In-depth knowledge of PR industry processes and practices

  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Ability to demonstrate an innovative and problem-solving approach to issues

  • Interest in current affairs

  • Ability to work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met, including managing multiple PR programmes

  • B2B PR experience, Line management experience, SEO and Social media experience desirable
