Small UK offices on the edge of Camberley with easy access to the M3 and A31 and A331.
Ideal position for a person who is confident taking accounts to Trial Balance who has previously held a Finance Manager, Book-Keeper or Assistant Accountant position.
The Bookkeeper position is a stand-alone function in a small office environment so there must be a willingness to taken on general office operations tasks e.g. answering telephone, dealing with supplier and customer queries etc. in support of the General Manager.
The successful Bookkeeper candidate must have a thorough understanding of all accounting principles and be competent in taking accounts to trial balance, production of VAT returns and basic management account reports. Experience of Sage 50 and Excel is essential. Experience of working with a front of house system which interfaces with an accounts package is desirable.
Typical tasks for the Bookkeeper will include full control of general ledgers including processing all aspects of the sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control. Bank reconciliations (2 accounts). Cash Book. Preparation of VAT returns. Liaison with the Chartered Accountants on a monthly basis.
Previous experience of working in a stand-alone accounts function desirable but not essential. Ideally candidates will have an AAT qualification or equivalent but consideration will be given to candidates who are qualified by experience and have 5 years plus experience.
