A great opportunity to join a long-established interior design studio specialising in high-end residential interiors both in the UK and abroad. Based in the beautiful Hampshire countryside, renowned for creating thoughtful interiors with timeless appeal combining the latest designs with traditional craftsmanship and antiques.

The team brings a high level of creativity and expertise to the design process. Be it a small redecoration project or an entire home renovation, working collaboratively with their clients to create stunning interiors tailored to their individual tastes and lifestyles. Projects are coordinated and managed from start to finish and they pride themselves on delivering on time and in budget, with meticulous attention to detail and clear communications at every stage.

The nature of the role requires the Interior Design Project Coordinator to be based in the office 5 days a week and you must have use of your own vehicle.

The Interior Design Project Coordinator Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Assist the Designers in all phases of the interior design projects including site visits and taking detailed measurements
  • Prepare worksheets instructing Outworkers in the making up soft furnishings and other items
  • Liaise, schedule and deliver all work going to and from Outworkers including delivery of fabrics and collection of finished items in own vehicle
  • Manage scheduling of fitting days and delivery of work to site
  • Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, contractors and team members to ensure project success
  • Oversee all aspects of sampling for the Designers and manage both the pattern book and brochure Design Libraries keeping them up to date
  • Scheduling of Rep Days for suppliers to visit the studio to show their new products
  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager and support them in preparing Client Estimates and ordering as required
  • General administrative duties to include managing new enquiries, answering the telephone, assisting with walk in customers and keeping the studio tidy

The Interior Design Project Coordinator Qualities:

  • Experience of managing production flows preferably in the design industry
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and ability to set up and maintain schedules and specification sheets
  • Ability to resolve issues in a calm and pragmatic way between Designers, Outworkers, Fitters and Clients
  • Experience in building, nurturing and fostering relationships with Stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of FF&E, fabrics, materials and suppliers
  • Ability to work within a supportive team proactively managing workload and timelines
  • Strong communication skills with an excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Clean UK Driving Licence
