The REC published the September edition of the Jobs Report on the 8th September. There are some interesting headlines in the report. Notably, the data continues to show issues surrounding skills shortages and the demand for new employees outstripping candidate availability. The number of people placed into permanent job roles continued to rise sharply in August, with the rate of growth easing only slightly from July’s recent record. Temp billings also rose markedly, with the rate of expansion unchanged from July’s 29-month high.
